The most effective breast cancer screening and prevention efforts identify cancers at an earlier, more treatable stage. Breast cancer risk assessment can play an important part in a well-designed screening program. Given the current constraints on primary care capacity, many critical health risk assessments can prudently be shifted to other settings in order to improve accessibility.
